Interesting photos. I am curious, why are the flagstaffs so short? i will assume that is how short they were for the ECW. Just seems odd to me. Wouldn't that make them unwieldy?
Good question. I don't know if it is correct or not, but both standard bearers were waving and spinning the flags around to taunt the enemy during the demonstrations, which would have been tricky with longer poles. I suspect they are shorter just for show, but I will ask next time we see one
