here and here). I've been meaning to do a small writeup about them, but I've not managed to find the time to read the final release version yet, so that will have to wait.
What I can say though is the versions that I have read are both wonderful reads and really thought provoking for the GM trying to set up a story. For example, the Investigator's Guide includes a section on films and music that were popular in different countries throughout the war. There are also sections detailing the home front in each country too, not just the battlefields as more often than not your crazy cult will be well away from the front line.
This week we got a nice little unexpected bonus from the Modiphius writers. First up is a neat document that provides some backgrounds on each of the heros in the miniatures pack that is being released. These guys and girls are going to have their stories evolve throughout the ongoing Achtung! Cthulhu series and this file gives us the starting point.
The other surprise is a chapter that they had to remove from one of the books as they had already exceeded the page count and needed to trim it down a bit. This one is my favourite and I hope non backers will be able to get hold of a copy in the future as it does what I've been doing in the Plot hooks section and breaks down popular films into ideas for sessions as well as having tables of hook ideas to generate your own seeds.
At some point I really do need to get back to writing those and the Hero Lab data files...
