Zombicide

For the first time in ages we got to play Zombicide again, which was fun. We're slowly getting to know the rules... one day we may actually play it correctly ;)

For a change, we tried playing with the Walk of the Dead cards this time, just to see quite how mad it gets with just walkers. I can safely say we need a lot more walker models, otherwise it gets insane very quickly with the extra actions generated. We ended up cheating a bit by using any extra models as walkers and we still died very quickly. 17 kills with 1 molotov was probably my highlight though :)

While we were playing, we thought it might be fun to try and create a 3d board when I get a proper gaming area set up. Adding a second level to some of the buildings would be easy enough and could add an extra tactical option to the game without any particular difficulties to the rules. Our favourite idea was the introduction of some additional equipment cards such as planks and nails. This would allow you to spend a full turn to block up a doorway or build a bridge across  from one rooftop to another.

Zabadak's Voodoo Jake's bookshop is looking great and is quite inspirational, as is OGRE's 3d board. It will be interesting to see what is possible.

The other thing that has become apparent is that I really need to find a case to stick all the bits in when Season 2 arrives.
